As a CCG, we are responsible for commissioning (or buying) health and care services and we work with a wide variety of partners to do this including local residents; our GP member practices; other CCGs; hospitals; ambulance service; local authorities and the voluntary sector.
The services we commission include most community health services; mental health and learning disability services, non-emergency transport, continuing health care for people requiring ongoing NHS support and some additional services provided by local GP practices. Jointly with other CCGs we commission, acute hospital services, integrated urgent care including NHS 111 and emergency ambulance transport.
